Campaigns
Investment claims with their own evidence, ideas and reviews. Short windows and long convictions can live alongside one another.
Compare two campaigns →Drone and counter-UAS procurement will improve selected suppliers’ operating economics if funded orders convert to deliveries and margins faster than dilution and execution costs.
monitoringCheck the AeroVironment fiscal Q2 2027 10-Q (print provider-estimated for 2026-12-02) for diluted weighted shares, GAAP operating income, segment adjusted EBITDA by segment, Switchblade revenue versus the fiscal Q1 order delays, and funded backlog versus $1,457.8M at August 1, completing the two-report dilution test; earlier on a material funded award, stop-work or cancellation on AVAV, KTOS or RCAT, a primary receipt for the LOCUST E-HEL award's funded status, or the KTOS (2026-11-03) and RCAT (November) prints.
Nuclear demand will improve fuel-cycle supplier economics only if utility commitments become fuel contracts, production and margins.
monitoringRead the third-quarter reports of Cameco (2026-10-30), BWX Technologies (2026-11-02) and Centrus (2026-11-04), all provider-estimated dates: contracted volumes and pricing, production, segment margins, and whether Centrus's HALEU contracts appear in backlog with disclosed terms, set against the dilution from its September offering. Before then, link the Centrus–Antares HALEU contract (September 17 release or 8-K) and read Cameco's October 1 6-K, which is captured but unread. Earlier on a funded DOE award, a fuel contract with disclosed volume or price, a production milestone or failure, or a cancellation. Generator power agreements, reactor permits and lane-wide price moves remain context; promote only on supplier-level economics.
Persistent physical energy-supply disruption can improve selected exporters’ realized economics until flows recover; oil, gas and LNG transmission must be proved separately.
monitoringThird-quarter results test the branches separately: Cheniere (2026-10-29) for gas and LNG; ExxonMobil and Chevron (2026-10-30) and ConocoPhillips and EOG (2026-11-05) for crude, reading realized prices and upstream margins against the pre-war base and the benchmark, with freight and the 2026-10-09 hurricane shut-in of almost three-quarters of US Gulf oil output (Bloomberg) noted as fourth-quarter factors; Targa (2026-11-05) once its branch is assigned from a reviewed business-mix source. All report dates are provider estimates. Before then, capture the October Short-Term Energy Outlook as a source and compare it with September on like windows (Brent path, Hormuz flow assumption, Middle East output recovery date), and read the 8-K bodies of ExxonMobil (2026-09-25, 2026-10-16), Chevron (2026-10-05, 2026-10-06) and EOG (2026-10-08). Review earlier on any of: a primary or named-wire Hormuz crude flow count after 2026-10-08 (Kpler, Vortexa, OilX or EIA), where flows falling back from the late-September recovery strengthen the crude branch and flows at pre-war open its failure test; an official Hormuz closure notice; an International Energy Agency or G7 release beyond the 100 million barrels and the more-than-20-million-barrel diesel tranche agreed on 2026-10-15, or a halt to them; or a new EU storage, TTF or Qatari LNG export reading, since the gas branch's newest flow evidence is the March-to-July Qatari export series and the 2026-09-16 storage print. Further attack reports and price moves alone are not triggers: the re-escalation and the attack half of the earlier tanker condition fired between 2026-10-06 and 2026-10-16.
Improving biotech funding will reach tools and CRO revenue through net new orders and project activity, rather than remaining confined to issuance and stock-market enthusiasm.
monitoringPENDING since 2026-10-22: the second-cycle review came due but its primary evidence is not on disk. Medpace (8-K filed October 21, 10-Q filed October 22), Danaher (8-K and 10-Q filed October 21) and Thermo Fisher (8-K filed October 21) reported; only news summaries are on file, and none states net new business awards, book-to-bill, cancellations or an orders figure. Read those filings first. Then ICON (release October 27 after the close, call October 28, company 6-K), IQVIA and Repligen (both October 27, provider estimates; Repligen's November 3 date is superseded). ICON and IQVIA are the second CRO the test needs. Promote only on net awards or bookings growth tied to biotech customers at more than one supplier. Review earlier on material cancellation or customer cash-constraint news, or if Lycia's pending IPO (seeking 227 million dollars, Endpoints October 20) is withdrawn; City Therapeutics, TRexBio and Retension have priced.
Counter-case to persistent optical and memory gains: by March 2027, AI spending reductions and weaker supplier orders reverse the pricing or margin gains those campaigns expect.
monitoringReview at the October hyperscaler reporting cycle. Microsoft's scheduled October 28 report (investor-relations calendar, 2:30 PM PT) is the hyperscaler test: read its capital-spending guide, and check whether the reported withdrawal from Nscale's Loughton UK site (Reuters citing the Telegraph, October 18; press only, attributed to power-interconnection delay) is disclosed as a cancellation or as a capacity-timing change. Then read Alphabet (October 28) and Amazon (October 29), provider calendar dates. Tesla's lowered 2026 capital-expenditure floor (September-quarter 10-Q, filed October 22) was reviewed on October 22 and does not trigger again. Review earlier on another capital-spending guide-down or customer cancellation disclosed in a filing or on an earnings call. Review earlier also on a new Oracle equity or convertible authorisation, since the $20 billion at-the-market program is exhausted (Oracle's news layer was last pulled October 17). Test the financing channel (issuance terms, prepayment recurrence, credit marks, and new committed facilities such as Tesla's $30 billion of September credit agreements) separately from the order channel. Aggregator-reported capital-spending figures do not satisfy the disclosure test; a filing or transcript does.
